Our home and building team is driven by one simple goal: to ensure our clients’ products are the ones that the trade recommend and the customer requests. As such, we offer a unique meeting place between traditional consumer PR and B2B PR, where integrated solutions are provided for clients who, in order to sustain and improve sales, usually need to appeal to two very different audiences.

We’ve been working in the building products sector since 1997 and have helped our clients through boom and bust. We can truly see the world through their eyes now – helped by the fact that we have, and still do, work with merchants, installers, suppliers and retailers alike. Indeed, our current client portfolio includes the likes of Travis Perkins, Neff, Worcester, Bosch Group, PTS, Triton, City Plumbing Supplies, Hire It, Tesco, Leekes, Zip, OSB, F&P Wholesale, Sharps and Pyrex.

For each of these names we deliver campaigns that generate awareness, we help to support promotions and we drive footfall in store and traffic online, all to ignite the interest of installers, builders’ merchants, architects, specifiers, interior designers – and to create critical end-user demand.

To engage with the trade, we go beyond product placement to position our clients as category captains in their key press. We build share of voice by owning issues and leading debates. We deliver company profiles, white papers, industry comments and case studies. We improve our clients’ online footprint through SEO and video guides and we drive sales leads through LinkedIn prospecting, e-shots and social networking.

We build brand awareness amongst the consumers by ensuring a sustained presence in the home interest titles combined with brand building campaigns – using surveys, stunts and insights to drive brand mentions across tabloid, broadsheet and broadcast media. We deliver press events, media tours, makeovers and mailers; we write newsletters, manage social feeds, develop websites, create apps and preparing compelling online content to ignite positive word of mouth across the web.

Our first ever home and building product client, Triton, joined us just a few days after we opened our doors in 1997 and they remain with us today. A rare thing in the PR world. Since that time, we have helped them to become Britain’s leading shower manufacturer – and we’ve more than made our mark on other clients too. We’ve developed a trade newsletter with a circulation of 75,000, created the “most talked about garden at the Chelsea flower show”, taken OSB from a what? brand to a builders’ brand of choice, built the second largest online baking community in Europe and the second largest in the world, launched Hunstman in the Middle East and Asia, taken Leekes footfall to record levels and hit every heating feature in the trade and consumer press – without fail – since 2005.
