Consumer PR Director
This is a rare opportunity to join the senior team at WPR, winner of PR Week’s Best Agency Outside London.
We’re looking for a PR Director to join our award-winning consumer team and lead a portfolio of clients across retail, travel, homes and lifestyle.
The successful candidate will be operating at senior manager or director level in an agency, used to working at speed without compromising attention to detail, and ensuring KPIs are exceeded month after month.
Experience delivering against product placement briefs is non-negotiable, along with an understanding of how to gain cut-through in the national, consumer, home and lifestyle media, to deliver quality coverage on a daily basis. Crafting creative campaign proposals, analytical review documents and pitching for new business will also be part of your day-to-day work. The role will also involve coordinating press events, product launches, high-impact campaigns, creator relations, in addition to overseeing content output across a wide portfolio of accounts.
You’ll have experience in coaching, motivating and inspiring junior team members to deliver best-in-class results that delight clients. Similarly, you’ll lead by example, demonstrating a client-first attitude which includes building relationships based upon trust, providing honest consultancy and handling difficult conversations in a sensitive manner.
Finally, you’ll be used to thinking commercially, understanding that agencies can only sell time – so it must be valued. You’ll be experienced in costing work, managing budgets and tackling overservice.

Salary bracket: From £45,000
