Working at WPR

Rewarding brilliant people with brilliant opportunities.

Our mission is to reward brilliance with brilliance!

There’s no question that what we’re most proud of is our people. We’re a curious, positive, selfless bunch – working together to get the world talking and amazing our clients with the noise we create around their brands.

Our values

When we’re looking for new colleagues to join us, it’s the people with passion, integrity, great judgement and an innate understanding of how to make an impact who stand out.

We are ambitious

We aspire to work for big name brands, break brave new ground, and win awards for our industry-leading work.

We are allied

We work better together, prioritising collaboration, communication, cohesion and contact with clients and colleagues.

We are accountable

We own it. Roles, responsibilities, relationships, results.

Our culture

We’re proud of the awards we win for our client work, but we’re especially proud of the awards that recognise our agency culture and spirit. Three times winners of the PRCA Dare team culture and community award, in recent years we’ve also been recognised in PRWeek’s best places to work awards, the PRCA workplace champions scheme, and by Best Companies.

Independently owned, we put real thought, time and resources into creating a working environment where people thrive professionally and personally – because we never lose sight of the fact that it is our people, from the newest recruit to the most experienced director, who make us the agency we are.

We want to attract and retain the best in the business, so you won’t be surprised to hear that our benefits package reflects that. On top of above industry average remuneration, we share 10% of pre-tax profits with the team as an annual bonus. And, recognising that supporting financial security and wellbeing goes beyond salary, our wider financial benefits are designed to help with both day-to-day costs and major life events, including things such as a BUPA health cash plan and interest-free property, fertility, emergency and hardship loans.

From your personalised induction programme to regular coaching one-to-ones, tailored training plans and personal growth plans, we’re big believers in developing home grown talent so we invest significantly in career progression. Almost half the team (including our MD and three of our four associate directors), started as interns or execs, proving the sky’s the limit if you seize the opportunities we create.

We really care about creating a place where people can fulfil their potential and that’s only possible when they’re healthy and happy. Our holistic approach to health and wellbeing spans everything from our flexible, hybrid working policy and access to 24/7 private GP appointments, to Mind-trained mental health first aiders, personalised mental health support and wellness grants. In short, we have a raft of initiatives designed to help our team protect their physical and mental wellbeing.

We’re an ambitious, high performing team and we work hard, so we make sure we have plenty of fun too. We love our quarterly drinks and big events like the summer away day and Christmas party. But we also have an active social scene year-round, from the open bar at 4.30pm every Wednesday and team pizza nights, to book club, fantasy football and table tennis tournaments.

Our goal is to build a team truly representative of our region by 2028 – one that spans gender, age, sexuality, ethnicity, religion, disability and educational backgrounds. We want everyone who works at WPR to feel they belong here and, led by our DEI committee, have a programme of activity that champions the groups for which we over-index (namely the LGBTQ+ and neurodivergent communities) and addresses the groups for which we currently under-index.
