[Senior] Social Media Executive
This is a not-to-be-missed opportunity to join the social media team at WPR, PR Week’s Best Mid-Size Consultancy 2026
We’re looking for a social professional with a minimum of one year’s experience in an agency or in-house environment, and who shares the WPR values:
- We are ambitious. We aspire to work for big brand names, break brave new ground, and win awards for our industry-leading work.
- We are allied. We work better together, prioritising collaboration, communication, cohesion and contact with clients and colleagues.
- We are accountable. We own it: roles, responsibilities, relationships, and results
You’ll thrive on getting your head around complex topics – from climate change to construction, and professional services to packaging – and be experienced in transforming it into compelling content for LinkedIn, Facebook and Instagram (as a minimum) to achieve results. A confident writer, you’ll be used to crafting engaging social copy for multiple target audiences, adapting to each client’s tone of voice.
Your days will comprise brainstorming and storyboarding, pitching ideas to clients and travelling to shoots all over the UK. You’ll be well-versed in shooting and editing content on an iPhone, posting, capturing results, identifying learnings and ultimately overseeing the whole content creation process from beginning to end, across a portfolio of clients.
Highly-organised, and experienced in managing multiple priorities across client accounts, you’ll be able to deliver all of the above to deadline and within your allocated hours.
Location: Birmingham, UK (hybrid – minimum of two days per week in office)
Salary: from £27,650 (executive); from £30,000 (senior executive)
Start date: ASAP

We are passionate about diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging. Our aim is for our team to be representative of society, and we are committed to building a workforce that reflects the clients and communities we serve.
