Best Companies Ranks WPR 17th in the UK

Award-winning PR and social media agency WPR has been placed 17th in the national league table of the ‘Best Small Companies to Work For’.

The agency, which is celebrating its 30th anniversary in 2022, has also been ranked fifth in the UK for marketing and media agencies and 15th across all sectors in the West Midlands in Best Companies’ Q1 lists for 2022.

The lists are recognised as the highest standard of workplace engagement measurement. To compile the league tables, Best Companies surveys teams on a wide range of topics to understand how they feel about matters such as team culture and personal wellbeing.

WPR managing director Jane Ainsworth said: “WPR was founded on the belief that if you look after your people well, everything else will follow, and we care passionately about helping our team to live happy, fulfilled lives personally and professionally. So it is particularly rewarding to receive this recognition from Best Companies in the year we’re also celebrating three amazing decades of WPR.

“To mark our milestone 30th year, we’ve pledged to be more ambitious than ever about what we can do as an organisation for our planet, our people, our community, our society and our future. It is fantastic to be starting from such a strong position but we won’t rest on our laurels and will continue to find innovative, impactful ways to make WPR the best possible place to work for our brilliant team.”

Among the highlights of the survey, 92% of WPR agreed that their role is good for their personal growth and 95% said their team members go out of their way to help them.

WPR also holds a Best Companies ‘outstanding’ accreditation, awarded to businesses that achieve a BCI score of over 696.5, recognising the agency’s commitment to team engagement.
