Circular&Co. Appoints WPR

WPR has been appointed by Circular&Co., creators of Circular reusable water bottles and coffee cups, to deliver a brief focused on raising awareness of the brand’s returnable cup concept.

Headed up by associate B2B director Rob Jones, WPR’s B2B team is developing a PR and content strategy that will demonstrate — to audiences spanning catering and hospitality, facilities managers, events managers, food and drink wholesalers — the benefits that Circular&Co.’s returnable cup system offers businesses.

Rob Jones said: “Circular&Co. is a fantastic brand with a genuinely compelling ethos and message, and we’re excited about raising the profile of such an innovative solution to a significant issue.

“With at least 2.5 billion disposable cups being used each year in the UK alone, the potential positive impact for organisations switching to a zero-waste product, such as Circular&Co.’s returnable cups, is huge.”

Ashleigh Smith, brand strategy and marketing manager at Circular&Co. said: “Returnables have a major role to play in the bigger picture of removing single-use cups from daily life; they offer a ‘to hand’ solution for consumers who aren’t using reusables.

“We were looking for a PR agency that understood the specific audiences we need reach with this message. WPR demonstrated that they not only had the experience, and knew how to talk credibly to those crucial decision makers, but that they could also bring the subject to life with clarity and conviction.”

The appointment sees WPR working with Circular&Co. on a project basis and is the latest addition to the Birmingham-based PR agency’s roster of B2B PR clients, which includes brands such as Electrolux Professional, Lloyd’s Register Foundation, and REHAU.
