WPR Shortlisted for Six Dare Awards

Birmingham-based integrated agency WPR is celebrating after being shortlisted for six PRCA Dare Awards in 2021.

WPR’s breadth of expertise is illustrated through the range of campaigns shortlisted, covering six different award categories, including ‘Digital and Social Media’, ‘Integrated Campaign of the Year’ and ‘Low Budget Campaign’.

In the ‘B2B Award’ category, WPR has been shortlisted for a multi-channel, research-led PR and social B2B campaign that positioned temporary power supplier Aggreko as thought leaders and generated high-quality sales leads. The ‘If Pub Walls Could Talk’ campaign that put brewing and pub brand Greene King front of mind as pubs reopened – boosting footfall and sales – has been recognised for the ‘Digital and Social Media’ prize.

The Dare Awards also recognise the achievements of individuals within the industry and WPR director Rebecca Williams is nominated for her outstanding contribution during Covid-19.

Jane Ainsworth, managing director, said: “I am very proud of the campaigns shortlisted this year, which reflect some exceptional work undertaken during challenging times. As clients sought new ways to engage their customers during the pandemic, our ability to develop creative content and insightful campaigns delivered real results.

“I am also delighted that Rebecca has been shortlisted for the extraordinary contribution she has made to our team over the past 12 months. Rebecca lives and breathes WPR’s ‘people-first’ philosophy and, no matter what challenges she faced during Covid-19, has been unfailingly professional, positive and practical. We are lucky to have her.”
