Checkatrade: Recruiting Trades

The Challenge

To refine the brand’s existing creative, delivering hard working, engaging concepts that would:

  • explain the Checkatrade proposition to tradespeople
  • clearly communicate the benefits of being on the platform
  • increase conversions
  • drive down cost per lead (CPL).


The Idea

WPR delivered a refreshed creative approach, reviewing existing assets and creating a new look and feel for creative across all channels.

To drive continual improvement, we tested different creative executions, from colour palettes and imagery to copy and messaging, and refined our creative work based on learnings from ongoing performance.

Over the course of six months, we produced an extensive range of creative assets which were implemented across multiple media channels including Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, Snapchat and Spotify.


The Results

Within six months our creative had helped to deliver a significant improvement in performance across channels, with increased attention from users ultimately resulting in Checkatrade’s most successful sales day in its 24-year history.
